The heat of the professional football K-League 1 is heating up even in Jeju Island. Jeju officials are expecting 10,000 spectators for the upcoming home game, saying, “It is more than twice the usual amount of reservations.”

Jeju will play the Hana One Q K League 1 2023 Round 8 home game against Jeonbuk Hyundai at 4:30 pm on the 23rd at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.

Jeju averaged 7,527 spectators in the three home games played this season.

On February 26, in the home opening game against Suwon FC, 8,362 people visited the Jeju World Cup Stadium, the largest number of spectators since the tally of paid spectators in 2018. Subsequently, the match against FC Seoul on March 18 (7078) and the Hyundai Ulsan match on April 2 (7140) attracted more than 7,000 spectators, creating an orange wave.

This figure is even more encouraging considering that more than 10,000 spectators did not enter after the policy of abolishing free tickets in 2017.

Jeju attracts spectators in various ways, such as visiting fan signing events, Jeju 4.3 memorial events, round-trip shuttle bus operation, partnership with youth clubs in Jeju Island and soccer tournaments, dream tree official, eco-friendly, community contribution, and sports ESG campaigns for sustainable growth. I focused on this, and this is slowly leading to fruition.

An official from Jeju said, “We expect the era of 10,000 spectators to open. Considering the characteristics, even 10,000 spectators beyond the 7,000 level is not a dream.” 메이저사이트

Jeju said, “Thank you for the interest of the people of Jeju. We will continue to create a stadium that you want to come back to and a game that you want to see again with good performance and service.”
