Feyenoord coach Arne Slott is emerging as a candidate to become the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
“Tottenham have decided to appoint Slott as their next manager,” Sky Sports reported on Feb. 22 (local time), adding, “Slott’s agent has informed Feyenoord that he wants to talk to Tottenham. Slott will discuss with Feyenoord how to terminate his existing contract.”
Slott has led Feyenoord to the top of the Dutch Eredivisie this season. Despite the fact that he has only coached in the Netherlands, he has been praised for his tactical and leadership skills. Locally, Slott has been described as “the most aggressive coach since Johan Cruyff” and “a coach with a gentle charisma”. 메이저사이트
Tottenham reportedly finalized their decision to hire Slott after Feyenoord clinched the title. However, a compensation fee would be required for the appointment.
Slott’s contract with Feyenoord runs until 2025. Feyenoord are reluctant to let go of their championship-winning coach after just one season. The Daily Mail and other local British media have reported that the compensation could be as high as £6 million.
