Suwon Samsung coach Lee Byeong-geun, who failed again in his first win of the season, admitted his mistake.

Suwon lost 1-3 in the 4th round of ‘Hana 1 Q K League 1 2023’ against Daejeon Hana Citizen held at Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 19th.

After finishing the first half 0-0, Suwon conceded a goal to opponent midfielder Lee Jin-hyeon in the 16th minute of the second half, but 6 minutes later striker Akosti succeeded in a left-footed shot to make it 1-1.

However, in the 44th minute of the second half, Jun-su Byun and Min-deok Kim in the 47th minute were conceded by two opponents in a row and collapsed.

After the game, coach Lee Byeong-geun sighed. “I don’t know what to say. I’m sorry I couldn’t keep winning at home. I had a lot of faults.” It’s wrong. I’m sorry to the fans who came to see me a lot.”  스포츠토토

In response to a question asking specifically about his operational mistakes, coach Lee said, “I wanted to make a change by putting Yu Je-ho in the midfield, but I prepared more defenders. There was a patch on the point,” he said.

Head coach Lee, ahead of the A-match break, said, “We need to discuss with the coaching staff and the players whether we can change the tactics we can bring. There are some players returning from injuries, but I want to get organized again. It’s not good and it’s not easy to increase the tempo. We need to refine that a bit,” he said about his future plans.

Regarding the timing of the return of Mulich, a tall striker brought from Seongnam to replace Oh Hyun-gyu, who left for Celtic, he said, “He is still in the process of rehabilitation. It will be helpful if he actively helps players who are helpful to the team.”
