It was confirmed on the 21st that former coach Kim Seon-tae, who led the Korean and Chinese short track speed skating teams, re-applied for an open recruitment for the ice team coach position at Seongnam City Hall.
Former coach Kim, along with “short track legend” Victor Ahn (Korean name Ahn Hyun-soo), also applied for a coaching job recruitment contest in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province in January.
However, when controversy over the suitability of his career in the Russian and Chinese national teams arose, Seongnam City did not hire anyone for the coaching position, saying that there was no suitable person among the seven applicants.
It was found that Viktor Ahn did not apply for this re-competition.
Seongnam City canceled the coach recruitment in the first contest, and three months later, on the 13th of this month, it re-posted the coach recruitment announcement and closed the application process on the same day.
In addition to former coach Kim, former coach Yeo Jun-hyeong, who led the Young Ice Merchant Alliance, also applied.
As in the first contest, the city plans to evaluate the ability to improve performance and leadership in communicating with players, and reflect them in the evaluation. 먹튀검증
In particular, in this selection process, it was decided to actively reflect the leader image and virtues that the players of the team consider important.
Seongnam City Hall’s ice team includes short track Korean women’s national team members Choi Min-jung and Kim Gil-li.
The city plans to announce the results of the document screening around the 26th and announce the final successful candidates around the 1st of the following month after an interview.
Former coach Kim led the Korean short track team at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and served as the coach of the Chinese national team at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
