Hanwha Eagles outfielder Ha Joo-seok made his first appearance in a Futures League game after his suspension was lifted.
Ha went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk on Friday, starting at first base and shortstop against the Goyang Heroes in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Futures League at Goyang Baseball Stadium.
Ha was suspended for a blood alcohol content of 0.078 percent in the early morning hours of November during last year’s offseason camp after he was caught drinking in his home in Daejeon’s Dong-gu district. The KBO’s punishment committee handed down a 70-game suspension under Article 151 of the KBO’s Code of Conduct, which was lifted late last month.
Following his suspension, Ha did not appear in any of the remaining games. It had been about nine months since the last game of the regular season last year. After being hit by a pitch in his first at-bat against Kiwoom Noon-hyun, Ha walked in his second at-bat. 토토사이트 순위
He then singled to left in the fifth and scored on a fielding error in the seventh against reliever Hong Sung-min. Against Yang Ji-yul, he completed his multi-hit game with a double to left in the ninth.
Manager Choi Won-ho said he still needs to keep an eye on Ha as he has been out of the lineup for a while. “Do-yoon Lee is doing well,” Choi said, indicating that he is not in a hurry to call up Ha.
