Donny van der Vaart is a player that even manager Eric ten Hagh couldn’t save.

The British ’90MIN’ reported on the 13th (KST), “Manchester United are looking for a club to take van der Beek from Turkiye and Qatar. Van der Vaart was left out of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) roster and his loan to Real Sociedad fell through. While the European transfer window has closed, United are looking to make a move in countries that have not yet closed. Turkiye and Qatar have 15 and 18 days to sign him respectively and are interested,” the report said.

“United have targeted a loan move with an option to buy in the summer. According to United sources, van der Vaart could not even make the Premier League (PL) squad if he stays at Old Trafford. Interest from Turkic giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe failed to materialize. But there are other clubs chasing Van der Vaart.”

Van der Vaart made his big league debut in 2020 when he left Ajax for United. His transfer cost €39 million at the time. His breakout season in the UCL during the 2018-19 season was a highlight. Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar made a big splash by writing a letter to United. Van der Beek was expected to be the financial backbone of United’s future. 안전놀이터

However, van der Vaart failed to make an impact. He failed to impress both Mourinho and interim manager Ralph Rangnick. Eventually, van der Vaart was sent out on loan to Everton, where he failed to make an impact. The arrival of Nils ten Haag from his days at Ajax didn’t turn things around. Van der Beek naturally fell out of favor with the Dutch national team.

Since joining United, van der Vaart has played 60 games on the pitch. That’s a mere 2,130 minutes of playing time, even if you combine all the games. That’s only 35 minutes per game. He has just two goals and two assists. He is now completely surplus to requirements.

’90MIN’ claims that United are mulling over a move to either Turkiye or Qatar to dispose of van der Vaal. According to the outlet, he could be left out of the PL after the UCL. Van der Vaart is facing the prospect of being chased out of Old Trafford, where he arrived as an ambitious youngster.
