South Korean striker Cho Kyu-sung, 25, will wear the number 10 for his new club Mittwalland (Denmark), symbolizing the team’s ace.

Mittwalland announced on Tuesday (July 20, 2018) on the club’s social media that Cho Kyu-sung will wear the team’s new number 10.

This makes Cho Kyu-sung the second player to wear the number 10 for Meatwillan after his former club, Jeonbuk Hyundai.

In soccer, the number 10 symbolizes a team’s ace. Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), and Harry Kane (Tottenham) have all worn the number 10 for their respective clubs.

Mitwillan was without a player wearing the number 10 until last season, when Emam Ashour left for El Ahly Cairo (Egypt). Therefore, Mittwillan showed great expectations by giving the number 10 to new signing Cho Kyu-sung.

Mittwillan saw the value in Cho, who was a standout for Jeonbuk and the South Korean national team, and were the most aggressive in their pursuit of him, spending £2.6 million on a five-year contract. 안전놀이터

Cho has been preparing for the new season since officially joining Mittwilan on Nov. 11, joining team training immediately. He also appeared in a practice match against AGF on the 16th, playing 60 minutes.

Mittwillan will open the 2023-24 season in the Danish Superliga (1st Division) on April 22 against Hvidovre.

The club was founded in 1999 and won the first title in its history in 2014-15 before repeating as champions in 2017-18 and 2019-20. However, they finished seventh last season.
