Arsenal fans have been harshly critical of their new midfielder since the first preseason game.

The Gunners have become a title contender in the 2022/23 season, threatening Manchester City, who were the favorites to win the title. The addition of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko helped the Gunners stay on top of the league and put in some outstanding performances. A disappointing end to the season saw them finish in second place, but there was plenty to look forward to next season.

As Arsenal began preparations for the 2023/24 season, they immediately began looking to strengthen their midfield and defense in order to compete for the title. Kai Havertz was one of the first players to join the club.

While the likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo were initially tipped to join the Gunners, Haberth defied the odds and became one of the first signings of the summer transfer window.

He joined the Gunners from Chelsea for a whopping £65 million. While questions about the transfer fee surfaced in the immediate aftermath of the move, some fans expressed confidence in Henrikh’s past praise of the player. 토토사이트 순위

“Sometimes (when I see him), I think of Robin (Van Persie) getting the ball and scoring a goal,” Henrique said in March while commentating on Chelsea’s match against Dortmund on CBS Sports, comparing him to Robin van Persie.

“He’s a winger or a No. 10 (attacking midfielder), but he plays as a No. 9 (striker) because he can hold the ball with his back to goal. Now we need to work on converting those shots into goals,” he said, noting Habertz’s strengths and goalscoring ability.

However, Henri’s comments dampened the hopes of Arsenal fans after just the first pre-season game.

“Arsenal fans have already turned their backs on Habertz,” reported The Sun on Thursday.

“Some Arsenal fans already believe that Ethan Nwaneri is better than Haberth. He is currently Arsenal’s highest-paid player, and Arsenal fans first saw him in a friendly against Nuremberg.”
